Adam Poppleton BA (Hons), CITP, CEng, MBCS, FSM -
Adam has extensive experience in IT Management, Service Management and Programme Management, for businesses ranging from Blue Chip to SMEs, Local Government to the Travel Industry and the Technology Sector to Construction. From corporate-wide transformational programmes for business-critical systems to the everyday management of complex IT services, he has led developments in benefits realisation management, best-practice service management, governance, audit and process improvement.
Having spent almost 20 years working in senior operational and management roles for organisations undergoing significant change programmes, Adam brings a wealth of practical experience in how benefits can be realised.
In addition, Adam works on the British Standards Institute (BSI) committee revising the international ISO/IEC20000 standards. He chaired their working group responsible for developing guidance for SMEs looking to gain certification and is lead author for their book on Service Management for SMEs. He presents and writes regularly on the subject of Service Management and is an active member of professional bodies working at the forefront of the industry; sitting on Executive Committees of the Institute of Service Management (ISM), the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) and the Service Management Specialist Group of the British Computer Society (BCS).
