ITIL

ITIL is a valuable resource that consists of a documented collection of best practices. It can be used as a catalyst for cultural transformation, to define a path leading towards becoming a more efficient organisation.

For any transformation using ITIL as the chosen path, each organisation will begin at a different starting point.

The introduction of ITIL V3 in 2007, and the latest 2011 edition, incorporate additional good practices and guidance, building on ITIL V2 and expanding the scope around a full service lifecycle model. If you have already implemented processes based on ITIL V2, they are completely compatible with ITIL V3 and the 2011 edition. The additional content and guidance will help to improve any service management framework based on V2, as long as it is used appropriately.

No-one ever uses all of ITIL, and there is no need to do so.  We ensure that organisations can take advantage of the parts of ITIL that will help them the most, using the “adopt and adapt” principle to ensure the optimum balance and maximum benefit.
